Royalty Income of $3,000,000 a Day
How Hunt Generated Royalty Income of $3,000,000 a day
I was listening to a seminar by Brian Tracey, in which Brian spoke of his experience while working with an Oil company in Texas formed by H.L. Hunt, who became the wealthiest self-made multi-jillionaire billionaire in the world. At his peak, he owned 200 companies and had a royalty income of three million dollars a day.
Brian goes on to explain that he was interviewed by a friend of his on television before he died in the early 70s. When asked about the secrets to success, he said the keys to success have only been two throughout his life. Number one, decide exactly what it is you want and write it down. Number two, determine the price you're going to have to pay to get it and then resolve to pay that price.
Welcome again dear readers, today I am going to give you prescriptive guidance on what you need to do to become a millionaire. My promise to you is that this will change your life in ways you cannot imagine. It is the secret to becoming a self-made millionaire.
A year, a month, even a week from now, you’ll look back and be absolutely staggered at the difference it makes.
Let’s break down exactly what you need to do to become a self-made millionaire
Follow this exercise to get the clarity you need to identify your target. You cannot get to where you want to go without identifying your destination.
I want you to take a piece of paper and write down 10 goals that you'd like to accomplish in the next 12 months. Write the word "goals" and today's date at the top of the page.
Then ask yourself this great question:
If you could only accomplish one goal on this list, which one goal would have the greatest positive impact on your life?
This is a great question because it'll usually jump out at you. You'll say, "That's the one. If I had this, it would have more of an impact on my life than anything else." Put a circle around that goal, turn the page over, and write it at the top of the page
Now, Set a deadline for the goal, make a list of everything you can think of to achieve the goal, and then begin working on your list. Here's the kicker: Do something every day that moves you one step forward toward your major goal.
My promise to you is that this tiny exercise, selecting your most important goal, making a plan, and working on it every day, will transform your life and help you achieve this goal quicker than you can imagine.
Persistence and consistency is the key, make sure to work on your plan every single day!
Brian mentioned, that in a seminar not long ago, a gentleman came up to him and said, "You know that goal-setting exercise? It changed my life." He said he was broke, divorced, and an alcoholic. Someone dragged him to one of Brian’s seminars, and he did that exercise, picking his major goal. It changed his life. He said today he's worth 40 million dollars, and he owes it to that lesson.
The only difference between very wealthy, successful people and the average person is that they simply follow their intuition. They're not smarter or different; they're not more educated or talented. They just follow that inner guide.
According to research, all you need is an idea that's 10% new to start a fortune.
Did you know, that the single greatest source of self-made millionaires in America is dry cleaning?
Most people become millionaires by offering a good or service that people use all the time, and they offer it just a little bit better. They handle it with more grace or finesse. You can do anything you want in life. All you have to do is find an idea that's 10% new, and you'll find it if you flood your mind.
Read magazines, and books, ask questions, and keep your mind open and flexible. One new idea, that is only 10% new, is all you need to start a fortune.
Every single person has four ideas, on average, per year, which are million-dollar ideas. How many times have you been going about your daily business, and you see the need for a product or service, and you say, "I wonder why somebody doesn't produce that?" Then, two or three years later, a company comes out with that idea, and they make a million dollars. You say, "I thought of that idea two or three years ago." Every single person has had that experience. What you have to do is trust your ideas.
Here is some important advice on this step - ‘trust your ideas”.
While friends and family are typically our closest confidants, sharing our nascent ideas with them might not always be beneficial.
Firstly, those closest to us tend to be protective, which can sometimes translate into an overabundance of caution or skepticism regarding our innovative ventures.
Their perspectives, influenced by their love and concern for us, might not always align with the objective realities of the marketplace or the true potential of an idea. Moreover, the emotional bond can often blur constructive feedback, making it hard to distinguish between genuine concern and a fear of change. Sharing ideas in the early stages can also make them susceptible to unintentional dilution or deviation as well-meaning suggestions flood in.
Finally, not every idea requires validation, and the act of sharing can sometimes zap the initial enthusiasm and drive needed to bring a concept to fruition. While the intentions of our loved ones are often pure, sometimes it's best to nurture our ideas in solitude or with a select group of neutral peers until they're robust enough to withstand any critique.
Wealth, successful people practice idealisation. Project yourself forward several years, and imagine that your life is perfect in every way.
Here's an exercise: Take a sheet of paper and make a dream list. Write down everything you could think of that you could possibly want.
Brian talks about someone who he knows, who bought a spiral notebook and began writing. He went through the newspaper and wrote down every single thing he saw that was nice.
By the end of the month, he had 500 things he wanted. His life exploded. He activated the Law of Attraction and began to attract into his life people, circumstances, ideas, resources, and insights.
This began to move him toward the accomplishment of his goals and began to move the goals toward him.
So, do the exercise mentioned above, and write down everything you want - don’t worry about the how - just write it all down without limitations. Imagine you have been given a magic wand and with this wand, whatever you write down will be achieved.
Dr. David McCone at Harvard did studies for 25 years, looking into why some people succeeded greatly in life. He found that as much as 99% of your success in life is determined by the people with whom you habitually associate.
We are like chameleons (lizards known for their ability to change colors), and we absorb the attitudes, opinions, behaviors, style of dress, and speech of the people we associate with most of the time.
If you start to associate with winners, you'll find they have a totally different worldview. They're positive, upbeat, focused, learning, growing, and positive about what they're doing. You start to become like that.
The Law of Attraction says that if you change the way you think, you start to attract new people into your life. If you become aggressive about personal development and growth, you start to meet other people who think the same way.
The old groups of people you associated with fall away, and a new group appears.
So, where do you find positive people who are thinking about success all the time?
First, you become one, and then you will naturally attract them.
Refuse to consider the possibility of failure. The rule is that there’s no such thing as failure - there is only feedback.
To become a self-made millionaire, you're going to fail over and over again, year after year. But your brain has a cybernetic mechanism, which means that every time you try something, you get feedback, which makes you smarter.
Eventually, you reach the point where you're too smart, and you stop making mistakes. You start to do more things right and fewer things wrong. But you can't get there unless you experience failures.
Self-made millionaires look for something good in every failure. They always find it. They always seek a valuable lesson in every setback, obstacle, or temporary failure. They always find the lesson. Those who seek find.
If you go looking for a valuable lesson in the biggest problem you're facing today, you'll always find the lesson. Your biggest problem today could be the springboard that launches you to great success.
your biggest problem today could be the biggest gift that you have ever received because it's going to force you to think and to grow and to become smarter and better.
What takes you from rags to riches is personal development. If you're not constantly learning, you're actually falling behind. So here are the three keys to continuous learning. Number one is to read something related to your industry or your field for 30 to 60 minutes each day.
That means, turn off the television, turn off the radio, put aside the newspaper, and just read in your field. The very best places to read, by the way, are books, because books contain a wealth of riches that can enable you to function at a far higher level.
I've had people tell me, countless people over the years, that reading an hour a day has doubled and tripled their income within a year. The second thing you do is take every course that you possibly can. When you take a course, you can learn enough information in one or two days, more than you could learn in two or three years or maybe even a lifetime.
There was a dentist, and just before he retired, he sold his practice for about $2 million. Just before he retired, he told me why. He said about eight years before, he had attended a dental congress in Hong Kong. He was from California. He'd flown all the way to Hong Kong to attend this international dental congress because there were specialists giving private lectures, sort of plenary sessions on the side.
He attended this session, and it was on a particular technique of cosmetic surgery that this dentist had developed that no one else knew, where you could basically straighten out a person's entire front jaw so they'd look beautiful at a very low cost at a very high level of effectiveness.
He came back, and he began implementing this in his practice. People began flying from 500 to 1,000 miles away. Every dentist sent their family members and themselves to this dentist.
He was able to charge whatever he wanted to charge from what he learned from one session at one convention at one course.
Now, that is a true story, and maybe it's an exception, but you can never tell where the information is going to come from - you must have faith and believe that the information and everything else you need will find you.
The third way that you can upgrade your skills is to listen to audio programs in your car. The average driver drives 500 to 1,000 hours a year, 25 to 50,000 miles.
If you listen to audio programs in your car according to the University of Southern California, you will get the equivalent of almost full-time university attendance just listening to learning material as you drive around.
The more you commit yourself to becoming the best person you can be, the more you like yourself and respect yourself, the more energy you have, the bigger goals you set for yourself, and the more you persist.
When you invest in yourself and you read and learn and upgrade your skills, you're telling yourself, wow, I am a person with a great future, and it's up to me to maximize my potential. And your self-esteem goes up, your self-respect goes up, your sense of personal pride goes up, and you start to get promoted more and paid more in every part of your life.
These are the highlights and actions that I have extracted from Brian’s seminar. There is a lot more that you may be able to extract by watching the video. You can watch a snippet of it in the video linked below. I hope it inspires you as much as it has inspired me to take action and follow his guidelines.
"Speak what you want, make it your truth, and it will come true."
Stay awesome
